REHEARSALS:
Wednesday evenings at Cates Hill Chapel, Bowen Island. Doors open 7:00pm for a prompt start at 7:15pm.
About Bowen Island Community Choir
A Few Answers
- You don't need to audition or sing on your own. No pressure (maybe a conversation with the director)
- You don't have to know how to read music...but it helps. You do need to be able to follow along with the sheet music, and to watch the director for cues and instruction. Choral tracks and sectional practices are provided to help you learn your part.
- You must be at least 15 years old to join
- We are Bowen's longest running arts organization
- Sheilagh Sparks (our accompanist) is MAGIC
- Yes, Ellen (our director) is kind and super helpful. You will be well supported!
- Yes, there are great after-concert parties
- Yes, we do fundraising as a group
