The Bowen Island Community Choir (BICC) has been providing a welcoming choral opportunity for adults since the early '90s. A non-profit organization, we are led by musical director Ellen MacIntosh and accompanied by Sheilagh Sparks.

BICC offers two sessions of choral singing per year, beginning in September and January . Each session finishes with a popular community concert (December and May). We practice weekly and perform a broad repertoire of songs including classical, pop, jazz, rock and even country. Often joined by guest stars, we have performed with and been
BICC offers two sessions of choral singing per year, beginning in September and January . Each session finishes with a popular community concert (December and May). We practice weekly and perform a broad repertoire of songs including classical, pop, jazz, rock and even country. Often joined by guest stars, we have performed with and been accompanied by a variety of groups and musicians. Who knows? Maybe a rock band, a drum group, a string quartet, a jazz ensemble.....and we have a lot of fun learning new music and singing together! Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:15-9:15pm at Cates Hill Chapel on Bowen Island.

No experience of choral singing needed, no auditions! Registration opens at the beginning of each session, in September and in January. We look forward to welcoming you!
We practice at Cates Hill Chapel on Bowen Island with a prompt start at 7:15 pm.
Preparations for the 2024 concert are currently underway.
